Mac Miller dropped what I can only guess is the first song off of K.I.D.S. the album, rapping over the MGMT K.I.D.S. instrumentals. Young Jeezy and Drake performed this Lose My Mind remix at the BET awards, not bad. The brain trust of Three 6 Mafia, Project Pat, and Waka Flocka all go in on Keep My Name Out Yo Mouth. Finally a Wayne mash-up thats been out for awhile but I don't know how many people have heard it.

No TV or internet at home so a lot of going through old music, next post might be a throwback. Today another new song from Cudi, a leak off of Detox, someone I've never heard of before but is alright(XV), and 2 songs from the group Make the Girl Dance that will probably make girls dance.

June Twizzelfth

Do you know why W.S. Gilbert was frequently drunk on his transatlantic crossings? No? Because he was quartered on the port side.

All different sounds again today. I've never heard of Jazz Cartier or Tayyib Ali before but I can't stop listening to their track "Bounce". "Top of the World" by Ace Hood has a great feel. Two Door Cinema Club - "What You Know", Dont really know how to describe it, kind of like MGMT I guess, just listen. Second single off of Eminem's new album Recovery is "Won't Back Down" and  features Pink on the chorus. If this song is sign of what the rest of Recovery will be like I can say that Em is back. Last song is totally different from the rest. Its a cover of the Talking Heads' song "This Must be the Place" by Miles Fisher, has the 80's feel and is a little weird but sounds like something girls would enjoy. Three days till the end of my life as i know it.

June 3

Today I observed a man donning a pair of penny loafers, in June!
A few different sounds today. New Kid Cudi track called “All Talk”.  For the girls and the clubs “Party Animal” by Akon and the producer from “Sexy Bitch” David Guetta, just has that same feel as when I first heard “Shots” and “Like a G6”. New Asher Roth too called G.R.I.N.D. (Get Ready It’s a New Day), it’s really upbeat and basically the same style as most of his other tracks. Never heard this artist before but I’ve been playing this song a decent amount the last couple days, song is “Horny Girl” by Kinetics and One Love. I think most people have heard the new song “Power” from Kanye but it looks like the CD quality version is out now too so pick that up.  Finally a couple of remixes with recycled verses over different beats. “Bounce With Me” with Weezy and Wale and “Push Cash” with Weezy, Gucci Mane, and Drake. Drake has been putting out a lot of new material lately with “Thank Me Later” releasing soon so I might be doing a best of list of his new stuff tomorrow.

Kid Cudi - All Talk

Akon - Party Animal

Asher Roth - G.R.I.N.D.

Kanye West - Power

Kinetics and One Love - Horny Girl

Lil' Wayne and Wale - Bounce with Me

June 2, 2010

A good morrow to you on this early summer’s day.
Alright so first ever post, I’ll try to keep this shit updated daily so keep coming back and tell your friends about it too. I’m going to have to give the honor of the first post to the kid Mac Miller. Out of Pittsburgh, he’s cool with Wiz Khalifa ( same high school, did a track together, made a cameo in Wiz’s “Kid Frankie” video , good track of Kush & OJ if you don’t know but you probably do), Miller is bringing in the new school of hip-hop. He put out “The High Life” back in December and the whole thing is real good. Stand out tracks are “Live Free”, “Crushin’ Round the Clock”, “Cruise Control” with Khalifa, and “Another Night”. Beats are great, writing is good, and delivery is unique but good. If you don’t pick up the whole mix-tape definitely look into the songs mentioned above. Miller has a new album coming out this summer entitled KIDS and it looks like its going to be fire. One of the first songs off of it is "Nikes on My Feet". By the way the kid probably hasn't even graduated high school yet as I'm writing this, he's a class of 2010 senior.
